Dent Island Lodge
Thirty seven hours traveling the waters from Puget Sound where the wind blew 25 kts on our nose and three foot waves slammed our progress and our enthusiasm for a big first day, across the Strait of Juan de Fuca in lightly rippled seas and a positively pulsing tide,  through Dodd Narrows at midnight and the Strait of Georgia by moonlight to arrive at Gillard Rapids just in time for the slack.  Yes, it was a good day.  A day of excitement, fear, laughs.  A fitting day for new horizons.
