Ohana
We are resting peacefully dockside with nearby Dent Rapids and Greene Point Rapids awaiting tomorrow. We will cast off at 6:30 AM to catch slack at Dent and head north on one of the biggest ebbs of the year. Our destination will be very dependent upon weather. A low pressure cell is moving in tonight bringing the usual symptoms of rain and winds. The low pressure will allow slightly higher sea level (1cm/milliBar) thus with a 20 mBar drop we may see low tide levels moderated by nearly one half foot, slightly attenuating otherwise shallow situations. Johnstone Strait through Race Rapids is within our range, however diverting away from foul conditions in the Strait may see us head north through Whirlpool Rapids and into the protected anchorage of Forward Harbor. We will monitor conditions on Fanny Island, via Environment Canada reports on VHF. If Fanny is getting kicked we will run the other way.

Canoe Passage to North of Little Dent Island
Tomorrow we will round the south side of Little Dent Island and begin our run northward through Dent Rapids and beyond.
